It depends upon the situation. There isn’t an actual time restriction, you just need to have the other party agree. You will need to obtain the consent of the other party and prepare a written stipulation to a new, agreed upon date. Then you will need to call the court to clear that date with their calendar. If you can't get an agreement from the other side, you will have to file a motion to have the judge step in and schedule a mutually agreeable settlement conference.
