A restaurant that serves a lot of rice probably uses a large crock-pot or slow cooker to keep the rice warm until it's ready to be served. You can actually do the same thing. Start by pouring a 1⁄2 inch (1.3 cm) layer of water into the slow cooker. Plug in the cooker, turn it on, and set it to the lowest possible setting. The lowest setting should be able to heat the water enough to keep the rice warm. If you think your lowest setting won't be able to do this, then use your best judgement and increase the temperature setting. You can always check on the rice and lower the setting later if it seems too high. You can then add your cooked rice into the cooker and stir it well to break up any clumps and so the water at the bottom will coat the rice evenly. Then, place the lid on top until you're ready to serve the rice!
