Both real leather and fake leather, or pleather, can be made dull and given a distressed, weathered look by applying rubbing alcohol. Mix together a solution of half water and half rubbing alcohol and spray it over the surface of the fake leather. Use a clean cloth to rub the surface and make it more dull and worn.
