You don't want to place the crib in any location where something could fall down on it (or into it). So, don't put it up against a wall where there's art hanging on the wall or anything like that. You don't want anything that could topple over near the crib either, so putting it next to a tall bookshelf isn't a good idea. Finally, you shouldn't put it up against any windows. So long as those conditions are met, you should be able to put it anywhere.
