First, catch your quail. Then fold it with a rag, so only its back is showing. Then grab a wing (still holding the quail, and gently snip a centimeter or two off of its long wing feathers. Do the same with the other wing. If it can still fly too much, then repeat the process. Make sure you have flour or baking soda on hand to stanch any bleeding.
