Take a stringer and cut it off around the base. Then, you can either place in water or wet sand, but be sure to keep it partially under water or in the wet sand until a substantial amount of new roots grow out the bottom. This is called rooting. Next, place it in a pot or a garden and congratulations, you have just created a start from an old plant giving you old and new lipstick plants.
