I cure it in the house in a shaded corridor by hanging bunches of 10 from swag hooks in the ceiling. When it's cured, I clean it and keep the largest bulbs for the next season. Doing this means that successive crops become naturalized to your location. I store all my garlic in an insulated, windowless shed which has a simple window air conditioner (I live in Tucson AZ, the summers are hot). I use plastic baskets that have holes in the sides to allow free airflow.
