It's best to freeze watermelon by removing the seeds and placing pieces on a parchment/wax paper covered sheet pan. Once it freezes pretty solid, toss it into Ziploc bags and remove as much air as you can before sealing. Thawed watermelon will be pretty mushy, it's best to use it in smoothies or even popsicles. Because of the texture changes after freezing, watermelon works best partially frozen, or try eating it frozen for a cool and flavorful summertime treat!
