What is osteoarthritis of the knee?

Osteoarthritis of the knee is a disease characterized by articular inflammation and pain arising from injury of the cartilage of knee joints. If injured, cartilage cannot absorb the shock during motions of the knee, thus causing very intense pain. Knee pain experienced during daily life is often attributable to osteoarthritis of the knee. This disease is often seen in males and females over 50 years of age (more frequently in females). Its prevalence begins to increase gradually at ages from 40 to 49 years.

Once osteoarthritis of the knee develops, the patient decreases the frequency of walking due to knee pain, resulting in loss of leg muscle strength. If the muscles protecting the knee lose strength, the knee is exposed to larger burdens. To eliminate this vicious cycle, it is essential that the patient receives treatment as soon as possible. An early treatment start can control the pain and delay disease progression. 

নারী-নারী সহবাস বা নারী-নারী যৌনমিলন হচ্ছে একটি যৌনক্রিয়া যেটাতে সাধারণত একটি নারী অপর একটি নারীর যোনিতে তার নিজের যোনি ঘর্ষণ করেন। এই ধরনের যৌনক্রিয়া সমকামী নারীদের মাঝে খুব জনপ্রিয়। যোনিতে ঘর্ষণ করা ছাড়াও এই ধরনের যৌনক্রিয়াতে একজন নারী তার যোনিকে তার সঙ্গীনারীর উরু, পেট, নিতম্ব, বাহু অথবা শরীরের অন্য কোনো জায়গায় ঘর্ষণ করতে পারেন, তবে সাধারণত মুখে ঘর্ষণ করা হয়না। এই ধরনের যৌনক্রিয়ার জন্য অনেক ধরনের যৌন আসন রয়েছে তন্মধ্যে পুরুষ-নারী সহবাসের পদ্ধতি মিশনারি আসনও রয়েছে। 

এই নারী-নারী সহবাসকে ইংরেজি ভাষায় ট্রিব্যাডিজম (Tribadism) বলা হয়। এই ধরনের যৌনমিলনের ধারণা উদ্ভূত হয়েছিলো এই বিশ্বাস থেকে যে একজন নারীও আরেকজন নারীর সঙ্গে যৌনমিলন তার পুরুষসঙ্গীর মতই করতে পারেন। যেসব নারী আগেকার যুগে এই ধরনের যৌনক্রিয়ায় জড়াতেন তাদেরকে নিয়ে সমাজ ঠাট্টা-তামাশা করতো। আধুনিক সময়ে এই ধরনের যৌনক্রিয়া পুরুষদের ঘর্ষকাম এর অনুরূপ একটি যৌনতা হিসেবে স্বীকৃত। এই ধরনের যৌনক্রিয়ায় যোনিতে আঙ্গুল ঢোকানো কিংবা বন্ধনীযুক্ত কৃত্রিম শিশ্ন পরিধান করে পেগিংও করা হতে পারে।
