Given:

Sushma’s present age : Jaya’s present age = 5 : 6

Calculation:

Let the present age of Jaya and Sushma be 6x and 5x respectively

According to the question,

6x = 2(6x – 18) + 6

⇒ 6x = 12x – 36 + 6

⇒ 6x = 30

⇒ x = 5

So present age of Sushma = 5x = 25 years

∴ Age of Sushma after 4 years = 25 + 4 = 29 years
