The sum of the ages of Ajay and Vijay is same as that of Sujay alone.
4 years earlier the ratio of age of Ajay and Sujay was 3 ∶ 7.
Formula:
If ratio of A and B is = x ∶ y
∴ A / B = x / y
Calculation:
Let, present age of Ajay and Vijay = x
∴ Present age of Sujay = (x + x) = 2x
According to the question,
⇒ (x - 4) / (2x - 4) = 3 / 7
⇒ 7x - 28 = 6x - 12
⇒ x = 16
∴ Age of Sujay 8 years hence = 2 × 16 + 8 = 32 + 8 = 40 years
