In a bank, If twenty percent of the Manager’s annual salary is equal to seventy-five percent of peon’s annual salary. Peon’s monthly salary is 60% of the clerk’s monthly salary. The annual salary of the Clerk is 1.44 L. What is the monthly salary of the manager? Correct Answer Rs. 27000

Given:

Clerk’s annual salary = Rs. 1.44 Lac

Formula:

X% of Y = XY/100

Calculation:

Clerk’ annual salary is = 1.44 lac = Rs 144000

⇒ Clerk’s monthly salary = 144000 ÷ 12 = Rs. 12000

Monthly Salary of peon = 12000 × 60 ÷ 100 = Rs 7200

Suppose annual salary of Manager = y

⇒ y × 20 ÷ 100 = 7200 × 12 × 75 ÷ 100

⇒ y = Rs 324000

∴ Manager’s monthly salary = 324000 ÷ 12 = Rs 27000
