Given :

60% of the total students are girls 

Average pocket money of girls is Rs. 25000 

Average pocket money of boys is Rs. 35000 

Formula used :

Average = (Total sum of all values of observation)/(Total number of observations)

Calculations :

Let the total number of students be 100 

Total girls = 60% of 100 = 60 

Total boys 40% of 100 = 40 

Total income of girls = 25000 × 60 = 1500000 

Total income of boys = 35000 × 40 = 1400000

Average of their income = (1500000 + 1400000)/100 

⇒ 2900000/100 

⇒ 29000 rupees 

∴ The average income of all students is Rs. 29000
