Taking the L.C.M. of denominators 6, 8 and 3 = 24
Let total spent time be 24
Time on planning = 1/6 × 24 = 4
Time on coding activity = 3/8 × 24 = 9
Time on debugging = 1/3 × 24 = 8
Time on documentation = 24 – (4 + 9 + 8) = 24 – 21 = 3
Time on planning : time on documentation = 4 : 3
∴ The ratio of the time spent by him in planning vs. the time spent by him on documentation is 4 : 3.
