Given:

Anjali’s father is five times Anjali’s present age,

Four years back, Anjali’s father was six times as old as Anjali was at that time.

Calculation:

Let present age of Anjali be x

Then present age of Anjali’s father will be 5x

4 years ago,

Anjali’s age was (x – 4) years and Anjali’s father age was (5x – 4) years

According to the Question,

5x – 4 = 6(x – 4)

⇒ 5x – 4 = 6x – 24

⇒ 5x – 6x = 4 – 24

⇒ -x = -20

⇒ x = 20

5x = 5 × 20 = 100

∴ The present age of Anjali’s father is 100 years.
