Speed of Sumit = 30 m/min

Distance between Peter and Sumit = 450m

Formula used

when two objects are moving in same direction then their relative speed is difference of their speed

Time = Distance/(Speed of first object - Speed of second object)

Calculation

Time = 450/(45 - 30)

Time = 450/15

Time = 30 minutes

∴ Time taken by Peter to chase Sumit is 30 minutes.
