Concept:

Linear equations with two variable = x + y = 100

Where x and y is variables.

Calculation:

Let the number of parrots and the lions be p and l respectively.

⇒ Total number of heads = p + l = 728 .... (1)

⇒ Total number of legs = 2p + 4l = 1656 .... (2)

By solving (1) and (2)

⇒ l = 100, p = 628

∴ The required result will be 628.
