GIVEN:

Pavan = 12 + Raghav

(Raghav + 8) : (Shreya) = 17 : 7

Pavan = 3 × shreya

EXPLANATION:

Let the ages of Pavan, Raghav, and Shreya be a, b, and c years respectively.

a = 12 + b      ----(1)

(b + 8)/c = 17/7      ----(2)

Putting b from (1) in (2),

(a - 4)/c = 17/7      ----(3)

Also, a = 3c

Put a in (3)

(3c - 4)/c = 17/7

21c - 28 = 17c

4c = 28

c = 7yrs

∴ a = 3 × 7 = 21 yrs

Required age = 21 + 3 = 24 yrs

∴ Pavan's age will be 24 years.
