Given:

Speed of the bus = 48 km / hr

Time = 1.20 pm to 3.40 pm

Calculation:

Speed = Distance / Time

Distance = Speed × Time

Now, 

Duration = 1.20 pm to 3.40 pm = 2hrs 20 min

= 2 + ( 1 / 3 ) hrs = 7 / 3 hrs 

Distance travelled = 48 × ( 7 / 3 ) 

= 16 × 7 = 112 km

∴ The distance travelled by the bus is 112 km
