Ramesh bought a laptop for Rs. 14500 and spent Rs. 500 on its repairing. He promised Shyam to sell the article at 10% discount, but he still earns a profit of 5%. Find how much more did he mark the laptop than the price for which he bought the laptop? Correct Answer Rs. 3000

Total CP = Rs. 14500 + 500 = Rs. 15000

Selling price = 105/100 × 15000 = Rs. 15750

Marked price = 100/90 × 15750 = Rs. 17500

∴ Required difference = Rs. (17500 - 14500) = Rs. 3000
