A, B, and D together can complete a work in 20 days. B and C can finish the same work in 16 days. A, C, and D together can complete the same work in 24 days. If A, B, C, and D start working together then how long will it take to finish the work?

A, B, and D together can complete a work in 20 days. B and C can finish the same work in 16 days. A, C, and D together can complete the same work in 24 days. If A, B, C, and D start working together then how long will it take to finish the work? Correct Answer 480/37 days

FORMULA:

Total Work Done = Capacity × Time

CALCULATION:

We are assuming total work is 1 unit

Capacity of A + B + D = 1/20 unit per day

Capacity of B + C = 1/16 unit per day

Capacity of A + C + D = 1/24 per day

2 × (Total capacity of A + B + C + D) = 1/20 + 1/16 + 1/24

= (12 + 15 + 10) /240

= 37/240

⇒ Total capacity of A + B + C + D = 37/480 unit per day

∴ The time required to finish the work = 480/37 days
