Formula:

Total work = Efficiency × Time Taken

Calculation:

A can finish the whole work in = 3 × 100/25 = 12 days

B can finish the task in = 36 days

Suppose, Total work = 36 units

⇒ Efficiency of A = 3 units/day

⇒ Efficiency of B = 1 units/day

Total efficiency of A and B = 3 + 1 = 4 units/day

∴ A and B together can complete the whole work in = 36/4 = 9 days
