Amrit is twice as good a painter as kaushal.

Both amrit and kaushal work together and finish the work in 6days

Calculation:

According to question:

Amrit = 2 × Kaushal

Efficiency of Amrit/Kaushal = 2/1

Let the constant be x

Efficiency of amrit = 2x

Efficiency of kaushal = x

Total work = Total time × Total people(efficiency) doing work

Total work  = 6 × (2x + x)

⇒ Total work = 18x

Kaushal alone can do the work = 18x/x = 18days

∴ the required value = 18days
