Three men A, B and C working together can dig 648 m deep in six days. C digs one meter more than B, B digs the one meter more than A. How much does A dig per day? Correct Answer 35 meter

Given,

Three A, B, and C working together can dig 648 m deep in six days

Calculation

One day work A, B, C = 648/6 = 108 meter

According to the question,

let B = x, C = x + 1 and A = x - 1

x + 1 + x + x - 1 = 108

3x = 108

x = 36

then A one day work x - 1 = 36 - 1 = 35 meters

∴ A one day work = 35 meters
