Alloy 1 and alloy 2 are prepared by mixing metals A, B, C and D. The pie charts show the proportions of these metals in the two alloys. If 1 kg of alloy 1 and 2 kg of alloy 2 is melted and mixed, then the resulting alloy will contain what mass of metal B?

Alloy 1 and alloy 2 are prepared by mixing metals A, B, C and D. The pie charts show the proportions of these metals in the two alloys. If 1 kg of alloy 1 and 2 kg of alloy 2 is melted and mixed, then the resulting alloy will contain what mass of metal B? Correct Answer 700 g

Calculation:

In 1st alloy B = 1 × 3/10 = 0.3 kg or 300 gm

In 2nd alloy B = 2 × 2/10 = 0.4 kg or 400 gm

Total = 300 + 400 = 700 gm

∴ Required answer is 700 gm
