Given:

C.P. of generator = Rs. 2,00,000

Profit ratio = 2 : 3

X received profit = Rs. 25,000

Formula used:

Selling price = Cost price + Profit

Calculations:

Ratio of total profit earned = X : Y = 2 : 3

Let, total profit be Rs. A

Profit earned by X = (2/5) × A

⇒ 25,000 = (2/5) × A

⇒ 25,000 × 5/2 = A

⇒ A = Rs. 62,500

⇒ S.P. = Rs. 2,00,000 + Rs. 62,500

∴ Selling price of generator is Rs. 2,62,500
