When Danger dies some years later, he keeps half his property for his widow and the remaining for his mother. The mother now has Rs. 1575000. What was the worth of the total property? Correct Answer 2.4 crore
Let the worth of total property of Anjum be "x"
Property given to wife = x/2
Property given to Bimar, Cumar and Danger = x/6
After Bimar dies,
Property of Cumar and Danger becomes = x/6 + x/24 = 5x/24
After Cumar makes his will
Property of Danger becomes 5x/24 + 5x/48 = 5x/16
After Danger dies,
Property of Mother (Anjum's wife) becomes = x/2 + 5x/32 = 21x/32
According to Question,
21x/32 = 1575000
x = 24000000
∴ the worth of the total property is 2.4 crore
