Let distance covered by A, B and C is d.

Distance covered in 1 step of A = d/49

Distance covered in 1 step of B = d/50

Distance covered in 1 step of C = d/51

Now in case 2:

Let time taken by A, B and C is t.

Time taken to cover 1 step by A = t/10

Time taken to cover 1 step by B = t/9

Time taken to cover 1 step by C = t/8

So by this we can calculate speed in 1 step.

Speed of A = d/49 / t/10 = 10d/49t

Speed of B = d/50 / t/9 = 9d/50t

Speed of C = d/51 / t/8 = 8d/51t

∴ Speed of A is maximum hence he will win the race.
