Given:

(Mukesh age – 9)/5 = Suresh age      ----(i)

Mukesh wife age = (15/17) of Mukesh age      ----(ii)

Suresh age = Sahoo age – 5      ----(iii)

Sahoo age = 10

Calculation:

From equation (iii)

We get Suresh age = 10 – 5 = 5 years

Now put this value in equation (i) we get

Mukesh age – 9 = 25

⇒ Mukesh age = 34 years

Mukesh wife age = (15/17) × 34 = 30 years

∴ Average age of Mukesh family = (34 + 30 + 5)/3 = 69/3 = 23 years
