A conical vessel, whose internal radius is 12 cm and height 50 cm is full of liquid. The contents are emptied into a cylindrical vessel with an internal radius 10 cm. Find the height to which the liquid rises in the cylindrical vessel. Correct Answer 24 cm

Let, the height of the liquid in cylindrical vessel be x cm

According to the question,

⇒ π × 102 × x = 1/3 × π × 122 × 50

⇒ 100x = 2400

⇒ x = 24

∴ The liquid will rise 24 cm in the cylindrical vessel
