Distance cover with speed of 30 km / hr = 800 × 0.25 = 200 km

∵ Time to cover whole distance = 280 / 40 + 320 / 25 + 200 / 30 = 26.47 hr

∴ Average speed = average distance / average time

= (280 + 320 + 200) / 26.47 = 800 / 26.47 = 30.22
