Given data :
Five students: A, B, C, D and E
1) ‘A’ scored less marks than ‘B’.
A ˂ B
2) ‘C’ scored less marks than ‘D’.
C ˂ D
3) ‘B’ scored less marks than ‘C’ and ‘A’ scored more marks than ‘E’.
B ˂ C
E ˂ A
On combining all three statements we get,
E ˂ A ˂ B ˂ C ˂ D
Hence, ‘D’ scored the highest marks.
