Percentage of educated people who are unemployed = 40%

Calculations:

Let total population of village = 100x

Number of educated people = 100x × 60%

⇒ 60x

Number of educated people who are unemployed = 60x × 40%

⇒ 24x

Number of educated people who are employed = 60x - 24x

⇒ 36x

percentage of the employed people who are educated = (36x/100x) × 100

⇒ 36%

∴ The percentage of the total population, who are employed as well as educated is 36%
