Two dices are thrown simultaneously. What is the probability of getting two numbers whose product is odd? Correct Answer 1/4
Given:
Number of dices = 2
Calculation:
Total number of results when two dices are thrown = 62 = 36
For the product to be odd, both the numbers have to be odd.
∴Favourable results = {(1, 1), (1, 3), (1, 5), (3, 1), (3, 3), (3, 5), (5, 1), (5, 3), (5, 5)}
Number of favourable results = 9
∴ Probability of getting two numbers whose product is odd = 9/36 = 1/4
