Formula used:
Percentage profit = × 100 = × 100
Calculation:
Let the MRP of each orange be Rs. 1
The wholesaler gives 20 oranges to the retailer at MRP of 16 oranges
∴ Cost price of 20 oranges for retailer = MRP of 16 oranges = Rs. 16
The retailer sells all the oranges at MRP
∴ Selling price of 20 oranges for retailer = MRP of 20 oranges = Rs. 20
∴ Profit% for retailer =
