Study the given graph which shows the number of workers with their wages and answer the question that follows. What is the ratio of the total number of workers whose daily wages are Rs. 450 or above but less than Rs. 500 to the total number of workers whose daily wages are Rs. 650 or above? Correct Answer 9 ∶ 7
The total number of workers whose daily wages are Rs. 450 or above but less than Rs. 500 = 45
The total number of workers whose daily wages are Rs. 650 or above = 35
So, the ratio = 45 : 35 = 9 : 7
∴ 9 : 7 is the ratio of the total number of workers whose daily wages are Rs. 450 or above but less than Rs. 500 to the total number of workers whose daily wages are Rs. 650 or above.
