The 40000 voters did not come to vote which is 20% total eligible voters of city for election. The difference between the NOTA and the number of votes cast for B is –  Correct Answer 25600

Given:

A got 60% total number of casted votes and won the election.

B got 30% of the remaining casted votes and

Other 70% votes of remaining are of NOTA

Calculation:

Let the total number of eligible voters in the city be N.

⇒ N = 40000 × 100/20 = 200000

Total number of voters who cast their votes = 200000 × 80/100 = 160000

A got number of votes = 160000 × (60/100) = 96000

Remaining votes = 160000 - 96000 = 64000

Number of votes B got = 64000 × (30/100) = 19200

NOTA votes = 64000 × (70/100) = 44800

∴ Required difference = 44800 - 19200 = 25600
