Suppose, 10 years ago, the age of Sunil and Sona is 5x and 6x, respectively.

The present age of Sunil = (5x + 10) years

The present age of Sona = (6x + 10) years

After 5 years, the age of Sunil = (5x + 15) years

After 5 years, the age of Sona = (6x + 15) years

⇒ (5x + 15) / (6x + 15) = 8 : 9

⇒ 45x + 135 = 48x + 120
