Of the remaining employees, 50% of them travel by metro and 225 employees out of remaining travel by auto-rickshaw. What is the percentage of employees traveling by carpool out of total people in the organization? Correct Answer 8.75%
Given:
Total employees = 4000
Calciulations:
50 % of total employees = 4000 × 50/100
= 2000 employees.
The remaining employees are = 4000 − 2000
= 2000 employees
From the remaining employees 850 travel by bus.
So, the number of employees remaining = 2000 - 850
= 1150 employees
From 1150 employees, 50% travel by metro = 1150 × 50 / 100
= 575 employees
So, the remaining employees now are = 1150 − 575
= 575 employees
From this, 225 employees travel by auto and the remaining travel by car- pool.
The remaining employees are = 575 - 225
−= 350 employees
So, 350 employees travel by car- pool.
The percentage of employees travelling by carpool = 350/4000 × 100
= 8.75 %
∴ The percentage of employees traveling by carpool out of total people in the organization is 8.75%.
