GIVEN :

Let the distance Rajesh covered with 44 km/hr speed be x.

∴ Distance covered by Rajesh with a speed of 28 km/hr = 100 - 50 - x = 50 - x

 

CALCULATION :

Total time taken by Rajesh = 50/20 + x/44 + (50 - x)/ 28

This time is equal to the time taken by his friend who moved at a speed of 25 km/hr

∴ 100/25 = 50/20 + x/44 + (50 - x)/28

⇒ 4 = 2.5 + {7 × x + 11 × (50 - x)}/308

⇒ 1.5 = (550 - 4x)/308

∴ x = 22 km
