A box contains a certain number of pens of different prices. There is N number of blue pens of Rs. 25 each, the number of red pens for Rs. 30 each are 20 less than blue pens. Given,

⇒ Total number of blue pens in box = N

⇒ Number of Red pens = N – 20

⇒ Number of Green pens = N – 20 – 50 = N – 70

According to question,

⇒ 3900 = 25N + {(N – 20) × 30} + {(N – 70) × 10}

⇒ 3900 = 25N + 30N – 600 + 10N – 700

⇒ 3900 = 65N – 1300

⇒ 65N = 5200

⇒ N = 80

⇒ Number of blue pens = 80

⇒ Number of red pens = 80 – 20 = 60

⇒ Number of Green pens = 80 – 70 = 10

⇒ Total number of pens in box = 80 + 60 + 10 = 150
