The question below is followed by two statements I and II. You have to determine whether the data given is sufficient for answering the question. You should use the data and your knowledge of mathematics to choose the best possible answer. There are three partner A, B and C in a firm, which earns annual profit of Rs. 10000. Find the profit of A. I. Profit of B is twice of C. II. Profit of C is Rs. 3000. Correct Answer If both the statements I and II together are needed to answer the question.
From statement I
⇒ B = 2C
From statement II
C = 3000
From statement I and II
⇒ B = 2 × 3000
⇒ B = 6000
Now,
Profit of A
⇒ 10000 − 6000 – 3000 = 1000
∴ Both the statements A and B together are needed to answer the question.
