Three students have marks in a ratio of 3 : 6 : 7 find out a new ratio of a : b : c if 5 marks are added into student scoring least marks. Also, the total marks out of which the mark sheets were graded are 80 and student scoring marks more than least but less than highest scored 20 less than the total and has scored 10 less than that of highest

Three students have marks in a ratio of 3 : 6 : 7 find out a new ratio of a : b : c if 5 marks are added into student scoring least marks. Also, the total marks out of which the mark sheets were graded are 80 and student scoring marks more than least but less than highest scored 20 less than the total and has scored 10 less than that of highest Correct Answer 7 : 12 : 14

Here, let students be a, b, and c who scored marks in ratio 3 : 6 : 7

Now, b scored 20 less than total = 80 – 20 = 60

Marks are in ratio 3 : 6 : 7 so if b = 60 and c = 60 + 10 = 70 hence, a = 30

5 marks are added

∴ marks scored by a = 30 + 5

Marks scored by a increases to 35

 a : b : c = 35 : 60 : 70

∴ a : b : c = 7 : 12 : 14
