Total gifts distributed in the school = 3100

Basic Ratio concept.

CALCULATION:

Let the number of boys and girls in the school is ‘8x’ and ‘5x’ respectively.

According to the question:

(8x × 4) + (5x × 6) = 3100

⇒ 32x + 30x = 3100

⇒ 62x = 3100

⇒ x = 50

∴ Total number of students in the school = 8x + 5x = 13x = 650
