Each question below is followed by two statements I and II. You have to determine whether the data given in the statements are sufficient for answering the question. You should use the data and your knowledge of Mathematics to choose the best possible answer. What is the area of a rhombus? I. Length of one diagonal of the Rhombus is 50 cm. II. Length of another diagonal of the Rhombus is 30 cm.
Correct Answer If the data in both statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.
Length of one diagonal D1 = 50
Length of other diagonal D2 = 30
Area = ½ × D1 × D2 = ½ × 50 × 30 = 750 sq.cm
∴ The data in both statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.
