A ladder of length 13 metres is placed against the wall and the foot of the ladder is 6.5 metres from the wall. What is the angle of elevation of the ladder leaning against a wall? Correct Answer 60°
Given:
Length of the ladder = 13 meters
The foot of the ladder is 6.5 meters from the wall = 6.5 meters
Concept used:

Calculation:

Here the length of base is 6.5 meter and the length of hypotenuse is 13 meter.
So,
cosθ = 6.5/13
⇒ cosθ = 1/2
⇒ cos60° = 1/2
∴ The angle of elevation is 60°.
