Rs. 2100 is divided among A, B and C in such a way that B’s share is twice the share of A and C’s share is twice the share B. By what amount C’s share is more than A’s share? Correct Answer Rs. 900

Let A’s share be X.

B’s share is twice of A’s share = 2X

C’s share is twice of B’s share = 2X × 2 = 4X

A’s share + B’s share + C’s share = 2100

X + 2X + 4X = 2100

7X = 2100

X = 2100 / 7

X = 300

A, B and C’s shares are 300, 600 and 1200 respectively,

Difference between C and A’s shares = 1200 - 300 = 900

Hence, Rs. 900 is the correct answer.
