Rs 2400000 is divided between A and B in such a way that A gets twice as much amount as B. B deposited his share at 7% S.I for 7 years and then he deposited the accumulated amount at 19% C.I for 2 years. A deposited his share at 8% C.I for 2 years. They invested their respective accumulated amount in a business which earned a profit of Rs 165428 after one year. What is the difference between their profit shares?

Rs 2400000 is divided between A and B in such a way that A gets twice as much amount as B. B deposited his share at 7% S.I for 7 years and then he deposited the accumulated amount at 19% C.I for 2 years. A deposited his share at 8% C.I for 2 years. They invested their respective accumulated amount in a business which earned a profit of Rs 165428 after one year. What is the difference between their profit shares?  Correct Answer Rs 21196

CALCULATION:

A's share = Rs 1600000

B's share = Rs 800000

Equivalent rate of C.I after 2 years at 8% = 8 + 8 + 64/100 = 16.64

A's amount = 1600000/100 × 116.64 = Rs 1866240

Equivalent rate of C.I after 2 years at 10% = 10 + 10 + 100/100 = 21%

B's amount after 9 years = 800000 × 1.21 × 1.49 = Rs 1442320

The ratio of accumulated amount (A : B)= 23328 : 18029

Total profit (ratio) = 41357

Difference in profit (ratio) = 5299

A.T.Q

41357 r = Rs 165428

5299 r = 165428/41357 × 5299 = Rs 21196

∴ Their is a difference of Rs 21196 in profit

Equivalent C.I for 2 years = r + r + r2/100

Profit is divided according to the ratio of investments
