The length of a rectangular field is 1*/1/2 times of width. An amount of Tk. 10,260 was needed to cover the field with grass at the rate of Tk. 1.9 per square meter, How many would it cost to fence the four sides of the rectangular field at the rate of Tk. 2.5 per mater?

Let, the width of the rectangular field is x m

The length is 1.5x m

The area of rectangular is $\left(x\times 1.5x\right)=1.5x^2 m^2$

The total cost of covering the field will be $\left(1.5x^2\times 1.9\right)$ Tk.
According to the question, 

$$\begin{gathered} 1.5x^2\times 1.9=10,260 \\ \Rightarrow 2.85x^2=10,260 \\ \Rightarrow x^2=\frac{10260}{2.85} \\ \Rightarrow x^2=3,600 \\ \therefore x=\sqrt{{\left(60\right)}^2}=60 \end{gathered}$$

So, width= 60m, length =$1.5 \times 60=90m$

Perimeter = 2(60+90) = 300m

Total cost $300 \times 2.5= 750$ Tk.

750 Tk. is needed to fence the four sides of the rectangular field. ans.
