Learning preferences leads us to some fields where we are interested but it may also involve something which we are not. Try to create/adapt strategies as you have to study all subjects in a course to pass/advance fully and just because you are not preferring one or two areas, it doesn't make it less important. So being adaptive is the key. Again if it is something that is not very important and can be avoided (without affecting your course), avoid it to save time and concentrate on the areas you are interested in.
